Last night I went to be early. Early-early, like nine pm. I haven’t been sleeping well and really needed a good night’s sleep.
It was wonderful.
Of course, there’s a BUT.
Actually two BUTS.
One, I missed the blogger bash.
Two, while I was sleeping my husband shaved my son’s head.
Apparently Taylor was hot (they had been playing basketball) and complained about needing a haircut and Chris offered up his clippers and his barbering “skills.”
In an effort to “even things up” his hair got shorter and shorter and shorter. It’s now not hair, per se, but more like “stubble.”
Three weeks to Taylor’s 8th grade graduation and he looks like a cancer patient.
Or, worse, a skin head.
Hopefully his hair will grow fast.
Or all of the photos will have to include his cap and gown!
*My husband is almost completely bald, so maybe he just wanted some company?

Well, at least it wasn’t the daughter! Boys can pull that style off soooo much better than girls! 🙂

You were certainly missed last night, Jen.

GA,
Oh, I hadn’t even thought of that! That would have been AWFUL!
MM,
Oh, thanks, that’s so nice! I hated to miss it but I’ve been feeling sinus infection-y and really worn out.

Good Man! Now you will never trust him to cut the kid’s hair again and he will be crestfallen I’m sure! Just as I was. I don’t have to do laundry after the “pink underwear” incident, I don’t have to run the dishwasher after the “melted tupperware” incident. I don’t have to do most of the things I screwed up the first time. I am crestfalledn as well … but what can I do? I’m just a male who can’t get it right! Darn! I really wish I had flunked toilet cleaning though … should have started there.

Y’know, the same thing happened to me… when I tried cutting my own hair.
For about halfway through I was starting to get one of those friar/monk looks. Then I decided it was time to cut my losses–because by that point all the remaining hair could be construed as losses–and pulled out the clippers.
