Tay and “J.”

Taylor had a good time at the dance. Too bad you can’t tell it by his expression in the picture of him and his date, J. My friend NHBC called his expression “deer in the headlights.” Alternately it could be, “OMG, J. is touching me!”

Yes, at my son’s middle school dance we walked up, interrupted a slow dance, to take his picture. Is it surprising they didn’t want us to attend? (We did the same thing to all his friends, too!).

I wish I had a similar picture of Reagan to post but she is notoriously camera shy and fled every time Chris or I approached.

Oh, and Chris and I had our picture taken at the dance in front of the white and red heart background wearing red feather boas. Too bad it didn’t say “PGS 2008 Valentine’s Dance” above our heads.

The highlight of the evening may have been when one brave young man sang a song (while playing a guitar) he wrote about a girl that he loves. Before singing he spoke about how he wished she could be there. Sweet, except for the fact that he took a different girl to the dance. Apparently the one that he wrote the song about was unable or unwilling to attend. Boys. So clueless.

Nevertheless, it was a lovely night, full of the “Soulja Boy” dance (‘clean version”-all the “ho’s” replaced with “oh’s”) and the “Cha Cha Slide;” oh, and breakdancing, there was some lovely freestyle breakdancing going on, too.

Awww….so cute! I’m so glad that he “got the girl” and he had a pretty good time at the dance!
And she is a knockout! :o)

Cheers to you, Tay! Good goin!

Well, at least J had a good time — and she SO wants a copy of that to hang in her room!! Sounds like Reagan’s life will go on despite your attempts to destroy it?

    Anon,
Nice. You just dredged up three horrifying pubescent years I’ve tried to forget with those 9 words. 🙂
